GEAUGA GOP CHRISTMAS PARTY–A TIME FOR CELEBRATION

About a hundred Geauga Republicans braved the snow and cold to gather at the Chagrin Valley Athletic Club to celebrate the Christmas season on Friday, December 3. Party Chairman Ed Ryder thanked the many volunteers who had helped make the Republican victories possible November 2 by getting out the vote, making Geauga one of the top voter turnouts in the State of Ohio.

ELECTION NIGHT–A TIME FOR CELEBRATION AND DETERMINATION
The Geauga County Republican Party would like to congratulate our successful local candidates, especially Judge David L. Fuhry, who was re-elected by a phenomenal 66-34 margin despite a vicious mudslinging campaign from the other side. The judge feels vindicated and is honored by the decisive vote of confidence he received from Geauga voters.
And congratulations to State-Rep-elect Tim Grendell as well as to our unopposed candidates, Commissioner Bill Young and Auditor Frank Gliha.
The election night party at Berkshire Hills Country Club was jammed with Republicans and even some Democrats, as we celebrated a consistent 60-40 vote in our county and victories across the state and nation. Many thanks to Berkshire Hills for an outstanding evening!
Special congratulations to our new Speaker of the House, John Boehner, our new Governor John Kasich, Lt. Gov. Mary Taylor, Sen. Rob Portman, Attorney General Mike Dewine, State Auditor Dave Yost, State Treasurer Josh Mandel, Secretary of State Jon Husted, Supreme Court Chief Justice Maureen O’Connor, Justice Judith Lanzinger, Justive Paul Pfeiffer, and Congressman Steve LaTourette. Many of them spent a lot of time with us here in Geauga County, and most of them survived vicious attacks from desperate opponents.
Although the races were hard fought, their victories are only the beginning. Now comes the hard part–restoring Ohio to its rightful place as one of the most prosperous states in the nation, cutting government, regulations, and taxes, freeing up Ohio businesses and attracting more companies, and, most important, BRINGING BACK JOBS! Our leaders need our prayers and support as they begin the difficult process, and our belief that we are now on the right track in Ohio.
Many thanks to the hundreds of Republican volunteers who worked their precincts, stood at the polls passing out slate cards, kept our Headquarters open long hours, acted as sign captains, made countless phone calls, attended rallies, worked our booth at the Great Geauga County Fair, donated money to our candidates, stopped in to offer words of encouragement, and talked to their friends and neighbors about our outstanding slate of candidates. God Bless You All! This is your victory!
